Good thing you told me it was supposed to be an angel. I never would have guessed. LOL And love those monk bookends. I'm wonder if I can find them on Amazon. :-) Have a wonderful post-Christmas, J.Cranberry Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10758563068581561194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4942077973453785319.post-23458087971816264152013-12-25T22:49:23.697+00:002013-12-25T22:49:23.697+00:00You seem to have captured the spirit of the place ...You seem to have captured the spirit of the place and you have certainly given me the urge to visit.

I love that image of the 'Angel of the North' in snow.

Happy Christmas to you.CherryPiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11788084724907992076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4942077973453785319.post-54363634131766865752013-12-25T14:23:09.541+00:002013-12-25T14:23:09.541+00:00Merry Christmas!

There was precious little of the Christian spirit in evidence on either of my visits, just robbing we monks trying to pressure me into parting with good money for commercialised tat.
I go to pay homage to John Smith. I suspect his only mistake in life was wanting to be interred on Iona. A God awful place for God fearing people.

I'll say again I enjoyed your Photographs and the Angel is one of the best I've seen. Sounds like it was hardly a 'fun' trip. Beautiful and loved the photos. I had to look up that angel sculpture. I'd say that Bernini's angel sculpture need not fear competition from the angel of the north. :-) Have a blessed Christmas, J! Looking forward to more Jayzspaze posts in the new year.Cranberry Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10758563068581561194noreply@blogger.com
